Simply put, charitable fundraising is the art of working with people, whether colleagues,supporters or volunteers for the benefit of a charitable cause.   The most important factor in fundraising is the word FUN. Laugh more, remembering that FUN is the first and most important part of the word FUNdraising. It’s not just about the money you need to raise (and yes, of course that’s important too!) but it’s all about  how you go about building the relationships you need to fundraise successfully.  Funding will follow if you have worked hard at relationship building, and relationship building will be easier for you to achieve if you have FUN in the process. Even difficult situations can be improved with a simple smile.
