Essential Fundraising Books

Despite modern technology, books are still one of the best sources of information, whether you prefer the paper version or a downloadable version.

On this page we list some of the books and directories that will provide you with much food for fundraising-thought!

Directories

If you are a Trust/Foundation Fundraiser, directories listing Trusts and Foundations in UK are a must have.  Based on our own experience, we recommend the Directory of Social Change directories as well as their many other good books for the charity sector. The books are well written, and easy to use. There is a wide choice – including directories for specific regions.

The full Directory of Grant Making Trusts can be purchased though it is very expensive – but worth it, or you can also spread the costs by purchasing the grant information in 2 separate volumes, as detailed in our List of Useful Books below –  the directories are excellent tools for charities searching for the right donor and we highly recommend them.
